Another One Bites the Dust…

Da-da-dum-dum-dum…. Hah! Random connections, I love it… The line just popped in my head, and I couldn’t resist the song reference. Okay, moving on.

One “exam” was finished last night, and the other is this evening… and by the weekend, I will know how the grades have washed out…

Speaking of the “other exam”… part of the final is a portfolio, online, of the various projects and revisions of them done during the semester. At last look (a couple of hours ago) no one else had posted anything that looked like “portfolio completing” work… and it’s supposed to be done by tonight… (and the projects that I revised a week and a half ago still haven’t been reviewed). No, I’m not bitter (but I’ll be, um, quite miffed if I get less than an “A” when all things are considered)…

In other news… the reading progress has slowed a bit… currently hung up in a novella in King’s “Everything’s Eventual” (it’s the longest story in the book – at 60-ish pages – and is taking a couple of days to get through). The story, though, is a sort of prequel type for the Dark Tower series (which is on the list of books to get/read… eventually). I’m trying to hold off on starting another book until I get one of the two I’m working on now much closer to “read” than they are now. Something I am thinking my newly cleared schedule should help with.

Now that the exams are closing down, I am looking at planning out the summer (a gym schedule, and a writing schedule, as well as other home projects) over the next couple of days. Take a general “mental rest” and decompress from the academic grind, before jumping into the next stretch. I’ll post some of the planned schedule at the end of the weekend…

But for now, back to the grindstone…
